Reflection on Go!Animate
This exercise was quite a bit of fun. It was a requirement that we break into our creative side and roll with it. I paired up with Andrew on this one. I Started the story line and he had to finish it. That is our collaboration above. The hero in the film is based off of my real life superhero, Armando Lueras. He is my fiance and we run Green Light Electric here in town.
The assignment kept us engaged and having a great time. I believe that just the inspiring of one to be creative is a good enough reason to use this tool in the classroom, but I do see many other uses. I can see a teacher using this to give Little presentations on many subjects. Using the graphics provided, and the various scenes, many topics could be approached. It could be good for role playing as well, perhaps in certain types of prevention classes. The characters in the animation could act out various situations that our students may be likely to experience. I think it is important for kids to role play, that way, when involved these situations in real life, they will be better prepared to make the correct decision for them.
