Reflection of the wiki
The wiki experience was unique to say the least. This was the activity that my group presented. In developing the wiki for ourselves we did not have many issues. It seemed to be pretty user friendly. We were able to makes pages and edit them. When we got in the classroom, we had some unexpected surprises. Our teams could not edit the pages as we had planned, so we had to improvise and come up with a solution. Luckily, we did.
There were a few issues in using the wiki in the class. As students tried to work on it simultaneously, others work would not be accepted and others would be deleted. I found it complicated to reverse unwanted changes. So it does take some coordination and awareness to have multiple users working on the wiki at the same time. This is the primary draw for me to the wiki, is that it can be a joint activity.
It is a great forum for people to be able to share information and update that information as seen fit. I can see this being a good tool for the classroom for group assignments. Teams can collaborate on assignments without having to meet in person. To me, this is the best benefit of the wiki.
