It is my passion as a future educator, to gain the education and knowledge that it takes to be able to advance my students to the next level and beyond. I am working to better understand and analyze certain pedagogy's, and working on my understanding of multicultural education. I am working on these understandings so that I am able to effectively communicate with, reach out to, and engage students of different backgrounds and cultures.

Blog Reflection

The Blog activity was a good one. It helped me make the decision to do a blog instead of a Wiki. I liked the blog, as I found it easy to manipulate and manage. I like the fact that it can not be altered by other parties, only commented on. It makes it more mine. The blog is a good way to communicate with people and share information and thoughts. I have many friends that run blogs, and it is nice to drop in and visit with them on my own time without the talking. I understand why they are so popular. I can also see the multiple uses of a blog in education and the classroom.

I believe this would be a great tool for a teacher to use to communicate with her students outside of the classroom. It would also be something a teacher could use to communicate with parents as well. The teacher could post a discussion as to what lessons the students are covering and what their goals as a class are. Homework assignments could be posted here as well. The comment option is great, because the kids and parents could give their feedback.

All in all, I think this technology is great. It can be a great tool in the classroom and is a great way to share thoughts and ideas.
